Poetry enabled me to explore nuances of memories often blurred by time; through the freedom of poetry, I discovered a clarity often obscured by writing’s expectations. Expression became a curiosity, and a way to ask deeper questions about my life’s purpose as a mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend; growing up on a dairy farm; the meaning of God’s presence and holding faith through life’s adversities; remaining focused and experiencing the joy of discovering how to observe and appreciate life’s many daily miracles.
